Should we still be testing for COVID-19?
Approximately, 1 in 5 people are infected with COVID-19, yet they have no symptoms,
This means that they can spread the virus without even knowing it. Similarly, although fully vaccinated, people can also remain infectious, totally unaware of the risk they still pose to their family, friends and co-workers. The problem is not knowing whether a person is currently in an infectious state or not, placing anyone they come into contact with, at risk.
Let us be realistic, the global pandemic is far from over, even with vaccinations available in countries across the world. Slow rollout programs and the emergence of new variants of the virus equate to the rate of infection continuing to rise. Early detection of infectious attendees at events, or the workplace, can be the difference between a safe population within an environment, or that of a super-spreader crisis.
The best course of action to mitigate the risk of a population, is to provide accurate, response-enabling information.
We offer an accurate, reliable, fast, cost effective, World Health Organization registered authority standard of compliance test, which determines a person’s current infectious state.
The latest available industry-leading security is used to protect personal information; and simplify the registration process. Synapser in partnership with a Point of Care antigen testing manufacturer, provides an easy to deploy, mobile connected, user friendly solution.
Entry is the no password, no OTP, Multi Factor Authentication application developed by Synapser, that ensures that the individual who wants to be tested, (and or vaccinated) is approved onto the system and is the same person who applied to be tested originally. The application creates a unique DNA of the primary device, which matches to the secure biometric details of the user. The technology protects against the interception of passwords, and/or OTP’s, which removes the typical weak points which hackers target.
Vital is Synapser’s health management solution, which seamlessly integrates with Entry and the mobile Point of Care instruments. Vital captures the personal information of each person, securely storing the record in a virtual private cloud, where it is further encrypted. No data resides on the device at any time, so no personal information or record is at risk of being leaked from a stolen device.
That explains the security and management of the technology, but how does the actual testing work?
A minimally intrusive (front of your nostril) swab is collected by a trained health-care worker. The sample is tested on the point of care device which utilizes an antigen (protein) based microfluidic chemiluminescence assay (using light in a very smart way) to detect infectious patients. The result is confirmed as having a sensitivity of 97.6% (highly accurate), taking an average of 15 minutes per person from start to finish. Test results can be sent directly to the primary registration device and/or integrated to an existing software platform within an environment, as required for compliance.
The power of the end-to-end Synapser solution is in how it resolves the issue of testing in decentralized and remote locations where testing is critical to minimize and manage the risk to your workforce returning to work or attending events.
Let us help you to be empowered to work safely in a digital world.
