Vital is Synapser’s health record management application which protects data chain-of-custody through integration with Synapser’s Entry security application. (A next generation passwordless, pinless authentication solution). This system is designed such that a record presented cannot be faked since the record is validated real time to the person’s diagnostic status.

Vital authenticates an enrolled user via Entry to securely permit them access to the application, allowing the user to create a personal health record. The individual utilises Vital to apply for specific diagnostic tests and/or vaccination, as required for the particular environment. Entry authenticates that the user is ‘who they say they are’, permitting them access to their private health record.

No personal data is stored on the device at any point which means there is no data to steal off the device if someone was able to hack the device. All personal and health record information is stored securely in the Synapser Virtual Private Cloud in AWS, where the data is further encrypted. The seamless unification of Entry and Vital provides simple ease of use, whilst ensuring  the prevention of medical fraud and personal information and health record theft.

Devices on which Entry and Vital are installed, can be Corporate or BYOD. Devices can be locked down into kiosk mode, allowing the user access to specific applications as per their approved permissions.

Remote and central management for all data usage, geolocation restriction, and immediate termination for devices that have been stolen or damaged, is available via mobile device management software.

Vital is preconfigured to integrate to mobile point of care solutions, which allow connected remote medical testing for geographically isolated workforces, and or populations. Additional integration of Vital to a 3rd party application is possible, via the Vital API.

Logs on the Application activity are monitored, to provide auditable data. However the system does not provide any user access to personal data or health records, unless the user is specifically authorised to do so.

Synapser’s primary focus with Vital, is to promote mobile point of care solutions, to improve health services for patients both outside of and in central areas. Vital is a secure solution for occupational health and safety regulations, as the platform provides a means to frequently test for virus’s and diseases which affect the immediate working environment.
